Safety@Sea Week
The Safety@Sea (S@S) Week is an annual platform organised by the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore (MPA) to engage members of the maritime community and top practitioners to raise awareness and exchange views on maritime safety. It consists of various events across the week.
Into its 12th year, this year’s S@S Week 2025 is the International edition, which alternates with the Singapore edition. It will be held from 15 to 18 Jul 2025.
As part of MPA’s commitment to promoting safety at sea, registration is free for all MPA events.
This year, there are six sessions to sign up for including the International Safety@Sea Conference plenaries, safety forums for the pleasure craft and harbour craft sectors, and Responders Plus Programme (RPP) Maritime Workshop.
Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore (MPA)
The mission of the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore (MPA) is to develop Singapore as a premier global hub port and international maritime centre (IMC), and to advance and safeguard Singapore’s strategic maritime interests. MPA is the driving force behind Singapore’s port and maritime development, taking on the roles of Port Authority, Port Regulator, Port Planner, IMC Champion, and National Maritime Representative. MPA partners the industry and other agencies to enhance safety, security and environmental protection in our port waters, facilitate port operations and growth, expand the cluster of maritime ancillary services, and promote maritime R&D and manpower development.
National Maritime Safety at Sea Council (NMSSC)
National Maritime Safety at Sea Council (NMSSC) was established by the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore (MPA) to spearhead the drive for maritime safety on a national level, and to ensure the sustainability of safety efforts. The first priority of the Council is to address issues related to navigational safety and raise levels of maritime safety standards. The Council will also endorse safety initiatives by MPA and the working groups to spearhead safety efforts and public campaigns that will raise awareness on navigational safety and practices.
Maritime Singapore
Maritime Singapore is a thriving ecosystem comprising our global hub port, shipping and maritime services, where the international community meets, and where ideas and opportunities abound. And behind the driving force of this maritime ecosystem is the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore.
